Contracted to direct site safety for Mechanical, Piping, Civil, and Tank Completion. Coordinate safety inspection teams, facilitated meetings, trained employees, and led client relations for location. Contract amount of $168 Million

·         Commanded development, implementation, and management of commissioning activities, and the project safety plan in alignment with OSHA requirements and the general contractor Hatch’s compliance requirements.

·         Innovated and implemented safety and environmental trainings including Site Specific Awareness, OSHA, Hazard Communication, Injury Illness Prevention, JLG Safety, Fire Watch, Confined Space, Heaver Conservation, Hazardous Energy Control, Personal Protective Equipment, and Emergency Response.

Kennecott - Cornerstone Expansion Project

Safety Manager

Contracted to manage projects field safety inspections for sub-contractors regarding: Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, and Process Completion Team. Coordinate safety inspection teams, facilitated meetings, trained employees, and led client relations for location. Cornerstone Project entailed “pushing back” the south wall of the Mine about 1,000 feet and deepening the Mine about 300 feet to reach 700 million tons of ore resource. Contracts amount of $838 Million.

Installation of  72’ tall pipe racks including structural, mechanical, and electrical piping. For Rio Tinto’s 250,000 square foot multi-building facility Molybdenum Autoclave Process. Contract amount 1.6 Billion.

US Army - Tooele Chemical Demilitarization Facility (TOCDF)

OSHA VPP Star Site

Safety Manager

URS completed the destruction of the largest stockpile of biological chemical weapons in the United States. In completing this surpassed 13 million man hours without a lost time work injury and maintained an OSHA VPP Star status. Personally responsible for developing and reviewing Job Hazard Analysis’s, Work Order Safety plans and Job Task safety procedures. Developed all safety procedures ensuring safety hazards were mitigated in any high hazard work task.

Corporate Safety Director

Responsible for developing and implementing a corporate Safety and Health programs to include General Safety Policy and Procedures, New Employee Information Handbook, Job Hazard Analysis, High Hazard work procedures, Drug Screening program, and Safety Bonus program. Implemented a corporate new hire safety orientation training class for all new employees. Implemented a Pre Job Safety Hazard Analysis including a site specific safety meeting for each project in the pre job planning phase. Developed OSHA 10 and 30 hour OSHA classes for all upper management and front line supervisors.
